Event Name: Greening Your Grounds: Creating Rain Gardens and Dry Riverbeds

Description: Rain gardens may look like regular gardens, but they are actually so much more! Dry riverbeds can add interest and function to an otherwise typical garden. Event Name: Take Pride in Pickering

Description: Our community members are invited to help plant wildflowers and build birdhouses on Take Pride in Pickering Day to add to the naturalization area and wildlife corrdior in Alex Robertson Park. This event is a joint venture of Ontario Power Generation, the City of Pickering, Toronto and Region Conservation and other partners in Environmental Stewardship Pickering. What you should bring: - Shoes, boots and clothes appropriate for the weather. - Please bring gloves if you have them.
