Description: At 10am, join us for the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up. Come out to pitch in and clean up litter from you local shoreline. Gloves and garbage bags will be provided. Lunch will be provided for participants of the Shoreline Cleanup. During lunch, Wildlife Education & Environmental Programs (WEEP) will be putting on a 1 hour interactive show with props and live birds. After lunch, come out for a family nature hike and learn about the migration of birds of prey.

Event Name: Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup - Ajax

Description: Join this national conservation initiative and help clean and protect the area around Millers Creek. Garbage bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided for all volunteers. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. It will be a rain or shine event.

Event Name: Caring for your Trees and Shrubs

Description: Fall is a great time to conduct annual maintenance on trees and shrubs, and to add new ones to your garden. When cared for properly, trees and shrubs will flourish for many years, adding beauty to the landscape, providing shade, creating habitat, and sometimes even supplying us with fruit. Come to this FREE workshop to hear expert advice on planting, pruning, watering and feeding fruit and shade trees, as well as shrubs.

Event Name: Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up at Etobicoke Creek in Brampton
Event Date: Saturday, September 25, 2010

Description: The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national conservation initiative that allows all Canadians to have a positive impact on their local environment. As part of the TRCA's stewardship initiative, we hope to provide an event for those that live in and around Etobicoke Creek to get outdoors and help clean and protect this beautiful area by getting rid of all the plastic bags, cigarette butts and food wrappers. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers, following the clean-up.

Explore Cedarbrook Park and the surrounding neighbourhood on a guided walk with a camera in hand to capture your perspective of the area. Description: Join Toronto and Region Conservation and LEAF in the meadow behind Nevada Park to plant trees and shrubs. After the planting, we'll hit the trails to see the fall colours and learn about what plants and animals do when the seasons change. Snacks and drinks will be available, but please bring your own mug to help reduce waste. Shovels and gloves will be available, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.
